I hate to distract from what I think is a totally kickass chapter, but we are launching our Indiegogo campaign tomorrow, and it's kind of a big deal. We're going to try to raise more $$$ than we have been able to so far and take this place to the next level. If you are an ongoing member, then there are a few things you should know.
Membership to the site to read the next novel is part of the rewards on the funding drive = $25 for the duration of the book. Now that book won't launch until October 8th, so if you are reading the current novel, you will want to maintain your account until it is done, bonus content and all. If you have time left on your account by the 8th, then that time will be added at the tail end of the run of The Golden Mask. You won't lose time.
So that means you can get a membership for the whole novel (which will run until the end of January or thereabouts) for a one-time $25 payment. Now, there are those of you who pay $25 or more per month voluntarily, and I expect some of the higher end rewards will be more appealing to you. But a lot of people pay the minimum, and this will not be a raise in price, because that $25 will include an ebook as soon as it's available, so you get a bonus.
If you want to just keep subscribing month by month, then yes, you can do that. The regular old account setup and payment systems will not be turned off or affected, and you can keep doing what you have been doing. Also remember that this campaign will run for 30 days starting tomorrow, so there will be time to scrape a few more bucks together if you need it.
But please, if you can buy into our drive, then please do so, and do so as soon as you can. I will post here as soon as it is live, and we will be lighting up all the media we can to try and get attention. Campaigns that get funding the first day and frequently after have greater odds of being seen and making their goal. Now, we are going with flex funding, so even if we don't make goal, we will get whatever we have raised. This is a major gamble for us, still, as if it fails we may have to look at scaling back here or trying a different model, I don't know.
Even if you can't buy in, we will ask that you spread the word and make sure as many people as possible hear about our campaign and what we do. We are swinging for the fences here. Help us if you can.
